Seunghui and Anqi's work on the social impact of the 2022-23 Southwestern Korea Drought was accepted in Humanities & Social Science Communications (a SSCI journal in Nature Portfolio; 19/273 in Social Sciences, Interdisciplinary). This article investigated interactions of news media, social media, and public search behavior during the 2022–2023 South Korea Drought. This article provided the observational evidence that public interest disappeared when the nationwide drought in 2022 was locally intensified over the southwestern region in 2023, indicating a cooperative effort between central and local authorities for drought mitigation.
